If you are not a born again believer or if you are unsure if you are, I believe that because you are reading this right now, the Father is drawing you into His sheepfold. For the Word of God tells us in John 6:44, “For people cannot come to me (Yeshua/Jesus) unless the Father who sent me draws them to me…” Today God is knocking on the door of your heart. He is drawing you, and so I want to explain to you how you can become a born again believer in Christ Yeshua/Jesus.
The Gospel of John chapter 3 (AMP)
“3Jesus answered him, I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, that unless a person is born again (anew, from above), he cannot ever see (know, be acquainted with, and experience) the Kingdom of God.
14And just as Moses lifted up the serpent in the desert [on a pole], so must [so it is necessary that] the Son of Man be lifted up [on the cross],
15In order that everyone who believes in Him (Yeshua/Jesus) [who cleaves to Him, trusts Him, and relies on Him] may not perish, but have eternal life and [actually] live forever!
16For God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world that He [even] gave up His only begotten (unique) Son, so that whoever believes in (trusts in, clings to, relies on) Him shall not perish (come to destruction, be lost) but have eternal (everlasting) life.
17For God did not send the Son into the world in order to judge (to reject, to condemn, to pass sentence on) the world, but that the world might find salvation and be made safe and sound through Him.”
These are the words that were spoken by Yeshua/Jesus Himself. He let us know that we must be born again in order to be a part of God’s Kingdom and that because of His sacrifice, everyone that believes in Him as the Son of God and the Savior of the world will be become born again and eventually be saved as a result.
I can only give you the basics here because the plan of salvation is discussed all throughout the New Testament. Therefore, I would have to write an entire book to cover it all, but I can offer you enough information and scriptures to at least get you started. In order to become a born again believer in Christ Yeshua/Jesus there are a few things that you must do:
1. First of all, as the scripture that we just read says (John 3:16), you have to believe with all your heart that Christ Yeshua/Jesus is the Son of the Almighty True and Living God. You must believe the entire account of the gospel which is that Yeshua/Jesus is God Himself incarnated in flesh, was born of the virgin Mary; lived and walked the earth as a natural man doing great wonders by the power of the Holy Spirit; was then hung on a cross and crucified willingly as a sacrifice for your sins, and finally that He rose from the dead after three days with all victory and glory and ascended back to Heaven to sit at the right hand of the Father on the throne. (Please read in the Holy Bible in any one of the Gospels – Matthew, Mark, Luke, or John – to confirm these truths.) Yeshua/Jesus is there on the throne today, interceding for your sins and pleading your case with God.
“Therefore He is able also to save to the uttermost (completely, perfectly, finally, and for all time and eternity) those who come to God through Him, since He is always living to make petition to God and intercede with Him and intervene for them. (Heb 7:25, AMP)”
2. Once you believe in your heart that Yeshua/Jesus is The Savior, you have to make him your Savior. You must open up your mouth and invite Yeshua/Jesus into your heart. You must then cry out to God the Father: You must with penitence, humility and remorse ask God in Yeshua’s name for forgiveness of your sins and be willing to allow God to work repentance in your heart. You have to make a commitment to diligently apply God’s Word and walk uprightly before Him, offering your body up as a living sacrifice. If you truly believe in Jesus, you will love Him for what He did for you, and if you love Him you will keep His commands. The true litmus test as to whether or not someone is truly a born again believer is the effort that they make to live according to God’s Word.
“For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved. (Rom 10:10)”
“But if we confess our sins to Him, He is faithful and just to forgive us and to cleanse us from every wrong. (1 John 1:9)”
“And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God. Let them be a living and Holy sacrifice – the kind he will accept. When you think of what he has done for you, is this too much to ask? (Rom 12:1)”
“If you [really] love Me, you will keep (obey) My commands. (John 14:15, AMP)”
3. Finally, you must be baptized in Yeshua’s (or Jesus’) name and receive His Holy Spirit. As soon as you do the first two steps, I believe that God honors your acceptance of Him into your heart, but it is important to, as soon as possible, go to a church to be baptized in Jesus’ name (or Yeshua’s name, but most churches don’t use the name “Yeshua” and that is OK because we are still talking about the Savior and Son of God either way).
“15And then he told them, “Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone, everywhere. 16Anyone who believes and is baptized will be saved. But anyone who refuses to believe will be condemned. (Mark 16:15-16)”
“John baptized with water, but in just a few days you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit. (Acts 1:5)”
“Peter replied, ‘Each of you must turn from your sins and turn to God, and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. Then you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.’ (Acts 2:38)”
“9But you are not controlled by your sinful nature. ‘You are controlled by the Spirit if you have the Spirit of Jesus living in you. (And remember that those who don’t have the Spirit of Christ living in them are not Christians at all.)’ (Rom 8:9)”
As far as water baptisms are concerned, you must be baptized at a church or have someone who is a Christian minister come to your home and baptize you in Yeshua’s (Jesus’) name and be fully submerged in water. However, you can ask God for and receive His Spirit anywhere, before or after you get baptized. “…how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him. (Luke 11:13b, AMP)” The Bible makes it clear that God will honor your request. I am also praying for you right now that if you become a born again believer as a result of reading this; that God will fill you with His Holy Spirit even as you pray right there where you are at, and that He will endow you with the gift of speaking in tongues immediately. If you don’t speak in tongues right away, it’s OK. But it is important so keep seeking this endowment.
Please know that salvation is something that will be happening to you everyday until Yeshua/Jesus returns for you. Yet, in order for this to happen for you, you must stay connected to God and to the other members of the Body of Christ. There is awesome power in Christian fellowship. Once you become a new believer, it is very important to go to a church that teaches the True Word of God. You need to fellowship with other mature believers as much as possible. Remember, you have been “born again”. In other words, you start out as an infant just the same way that natural babies do. You are going to need a lot of care and guidance at this stage of your Christian walk. So seek The Lord for the guidance and the gifts of His Holy Spirit, go to a Spirit-filled, Word-teaching church often and read your Bible much everyday (especially the New Testament for getting started)!
Some people believe that if they give you a ‘sinner’s prayer’ to recite that you become born again by reciting the prayer. I mean no disrespect to anyone, but no where in the Bible do you see anyone become a believer in such a way (or at least I am not aware of such a scripture, if it does exist). However, the scriptures do make it plain that no one can become a Christian unless God has prepared the person’s heart, and if your heart has truly been prepared then the Holy Spirit will give you the words to pray as you open your mouth. Therefore, I am not going to give you a nursery rhyme prayer to say.
All you need to do is speak your heart to Yeshua. Tell Him that you believe in Him and that you love Him and need Him. Tell Him about your sins and ask Him for forgiveness. Invite Yeshua into your heart to be your Savior and Lord forever. It does not have to be said in any special way, but it is important that it is sincerely coming from your heart. It cannot be my prayer; it has to be your prayer. So if you want to become a born again believer and be filled with the Holy Spirit right now, then please begin to cry out to your Heavenly Father in the name of Yeshua/Jesus His Son. Tell Him what is in your heart and I welcome you in advance into the Kingdom of God, the Kingdom of Yahweh, as my new sister or brother in Christ!

Here is a Bible Study to help you get started in your new life as a believer.
The ROMANS ROAD….is a pathway you can walk.
It is a group of Bible verses from the book of Romans in the New Testament. If you walk down this road you will end up understanding how to be saved.
Romans 3:23 “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”
We all have sin in our hearts. We all were born with sin.
We were born under the power of sin’s control.
- Admit that you are a sinner.
Romans 6:23a “…The wages of sin is death…”
Sin has an ending. It results in death. We all face physical death, which is a result of sin. But a worse death is spiritual death that alienates us from God, and will last for all eternity. The Bible teaches that there is a place called the Lake of Fire where lost people will be in torment forever. It is the place where people who are spiritually dead will remain.
- Understand that you deserve death for your sin.
Romans 6:23b “…But the gift of God is eternal
life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
Salvation is a free gift from God to you! You can’t
earn this gift, but you must reach out and receive it.
- Ask God to forgive you and save you.
Romans 5:8, “God demonstrates His own love for us, in
that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us!”
When Jesus died on the cross He paid sin’s penalty. He paid the price for all sin, and when He took all the sins of the world on Himself on the cross, He bought us out of slavery to sin and death! The only condition is that we believe in Him and what He has done for us, understanding that we are now joined with Him, and that He is our life. He did all this because He loved us and gave Himself for us!
- Give your life to God… His love poured out in Jesus on the cross is your only hope to have forgiveness and change. His love bought you out of being a slave to sin. His love is what saves you — not religion, or church membership. God loves you!
Romans 10:13 “Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved!”
- Call out to God in the name of Jesus!
Romans 10:9,10 “…If you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Jesus from the dead, you shall be saved; for with the heart man believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.”
- If you know that God is knocking on your heart’s door,
ask Him to come into your heart.
Jesus said,
Revelation 3:20a “Behold I stand at the door and knock, if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him…”
- Is Jesus knocking on your heart’s door?
Believe in Him.
Ask Him to come in to your heart by faith,
and ask Him to reveal Himself to you.
Open the Bible to the Gospel of John and read what God says about Jesus,
about you, and about being born again.
God will help you. He loves you.
You need to look for a local church where
God’s word is preached. The Bible says that we are to desire
God’s word like a newborn baby desires mother’s milk.
Aren’t you hungry to know the truth?
Water baptism is one of the ways you first show that
you have been joined to Jesus. This is an action, and actions will not save you. However, it is an act of obedience and a symbol of commitment.
The symbolism is this:
When you go down in the water you show that
You have been crucified and buried with Him,
And when you come up out of the water you show that
you have been raised to walk with Him in newness of life.
(See Romans chapter 6)
You have been born again.
(See John chapter 3)
Your body has become God’s temple.
Your heart is where He lives.
Forgiveness is yours in Jesus.
And you belong to Him.
You were sin’s slave.
But now…
You are a child of GOD!
John 1:12
“As many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name!”

Concerned, when you want to spend time with the Lord, just enter into His gates with thanksgiving 9for what He has done for you)– then go on into His courts with praise for who He is and then you will find yourself in the Holy of Holies, and I will submit to you today there is nothing like the “presence of the Lord”. When trials come, slip on your garment of praise. He will carry you through. The Lord loves when we praise Him. It pleases Him when it is done “in spirit and in truth. I have heard people say so many things. I need to ask Jesus into my heart.
I need topray thr prayer of salvation.
I need to answer an alter call.
I need to be baptized.
I need to send money if I want to receive a blessing, a miracle, or healing from God.
After being to so many different things, by so many different people, you may understand the confusion I have in knowing which way is the right way.
I listened to one televsion preacher who said Christ is not the only way to God, and it is up to every individual to find their own way. He also mentioned he went to India and the people there know God.
I don’t know anything about religion in India, but I wonder if it is as confussing as it is here.
